18th Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF)

Labour List MP Charles Chauvel participated in the 18th Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum, held in Singapore in January 2010.
The APPF is a group of parliamentary officials from the Asia-Pacific region who meet to promote greater regional identification and cooperation amongst nations, as a branch of the Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC), with particular focus on democracy, economic freedom, sustainable development, sound environmental practices and regional peace and security.
At the forum, Chauvel spoke on regional cooperation on Energy and Climate Change. Copies of his speeches can be found here and here.
