Just before Christmas, Charles volunteered at the annual Children’s Christmas Party held by the Maungaraki Plunket at the Maungaraki Baptist Church.

Plunket is New Zealand's largest provider of support services for the development, health and wellbeing for children under five and has been in existence for over 100 years. The Maungaraki Plunket office has a Plunket nurse and a group of volunteers providing help to  families in the area.

Charles helped fellow volunteers behind the scenes, including cutting and serving the special cakes donated by wonderful local business Benedict’s Café and catching up with Santa.
