Niu Tupu Mentoring Workshop

Charles Chauvel, Labour List MP spoke at the Niu Tupu 2010 leadership development seminar, hosted by the Victoria University of Wellington’s Pacific Leadership Cluster.

Charles spoke on leadership, encouraging young Pacific leaders from around New Zealand as a new generation of Pacific Leaders.

Chauvel is the first New Zealand MP of Tahitian descent, and prior to becoming an MP was deputy Chair of Meridian Energy, New Zealand's largest energy-generation company as well as the Chair of the New Zealand AIDS Foundation board.

The words niu tupu are from the Niuean language, representing new life, new growth and development, a theme of the Niu Tipu leadership program.
