Labour List MP Charles Chauvel joined Carmel Sepuloni, Labour List MP on a tour of various locations around the Taranaki region.

Chauvel, who is Labour’s spokesperson for Climate Change and Energy visited the Pohokura natural gas well site, located North of Waitara.

Chauvel and Sepuloni then toured EcoInnovation Ltd, a local company who produce and sell renewable energy systems, while using recycled technology and sustainable business practices.

The two MPs also met with local Farmer Steve Lepper, who has built and operated a methane biogas generator, based on his farm and piggery in Lepperton and finished the visit with a tour of the Ahuroa Gas Storage Facility with Paul Charteris from Contact Energy
