Chauvel in Dunedin

Charles Chauvel, Labour List MP as well as climate change and energy spokesperson toured Dunedin today, starting with a round table discussion hosted by the Otago Chamber of Commerce ‘On New Zealand's alternative energy future’.

He then attended a joint meeting of the Otago Regional Council and the Dunedin City Council (DCC) that focussed on Climate change planning for the area and the policy and regulatory ramifications.

Chauvel then attended a second round table discussion on home insulation retrofit policy with speakers from the DCC, local churches, Family Start and Otago Polytechnic.

Then Chauvel spoke as part of a presentation to academic and PhD students at Otago University on key energy and climate change issues for New Zealand

Finally, Chauvel then met with representatives of Sustainable City Dunedin, a non-partisan group who educate, encourage and develop relationships with key partners towards a positive, secure and sustainable future for Dunedin City.
