JITO Visit to Metro Glass Tech
On May 7th, Charles visited Metro Glass Tech in Grenada North as a guest of the Joinery and Glass Industry Training Organisation (JITO) with Debbie Paul, the Chief Executive of JITO.
The apprentices at Metro Glass Tech learn while they work on the job. The Joinery ITO play a major role in the industry-related educational training for the apprentices and this includes encouraging the students to develop their literacy and numeracy skills, which is beneficial for them in the future.
New Zealand ITOs generate significant value for all of the parties involved; including for trainees, for employers and industries, and for taxpayers.
