Maungaraki School Visit

As part of a series of visits to schools across the Ohariu electorate, Labour List MP based in the Ohariu electorate Charles Chauvel visited Maungaraki School today.

The staff and students at Maungaraki are actively engaged in environmental issues, with Chauvel attending a meeting of students and staff putting in place environmentally responsible solutions at the school including composting, wormfarms, treeplanting and other exciting initiatives.

In addition, Charles toured the school, looking at Robots created by students from household waste and meeting with students who have appeared in front of the local councils on creating an Envirohouse.

Chauvel was recently appointed Labour party spokesperson for the Environment.
