Charles Chauvel, Labour List MP based in the Ohariu electorate, joined Wellington Central MP Grant Robertson and Rongotai MP Annette King in hosting local community organisations for an evening event known as “Beat the Winter Blues” in Wellington today.

Over 70 people attended from community organisations and resident groups from across the Ohariu, Wellington Central and Rongotai electorates.  The MPs played host in order to honour the work local volunteers and community workers do.

The event was also a chance for groups to build and maintain networks between organisations, while enjoying mulled wine prepared by Labour volunteers.

It is hoped that this event will become a regular part of the Wellington calendar.
