ANZAC Day 2008

ANZAC Day is an opportunity for New Zealanders to reflect on the sacrifices of those who fought for our country, and is a day when New Zealand as a nation commemorates the courage of the ANZACs.

Charles was asked to be the official government representative at the Citizen’s Service in the Wellington Cathedral and the wreath-laying ceremony at the Cenotaph.

“New Zealand shares with Australia the ANZAC heritage of sacrifice and bravery in the face of adversity” Charles said, “and on ANZAC Day we honour those who have been killed or wounded in the face of such adversity”.
