EDU153 Lecture at Victoria University
Charles was invited to give a special lecture to students of the EDU153 course being taught at Victoria University.
EDU153 is an introductory paper on the history and philosophies underpinning early childhood care and education in Europe, the United States and New Zealand from the 18th century to the present day.
The topic of his presentation was about his close friend and mentor Sonja Davies (1923 – 2005), who was the first President of the New Zealand Child Care Association, as well as a trade unionist, peace activist and former Labour MP.
