Meeting small-business owners in Johnsonville

On Tuesday 30 September, Charles took the Minister for Small Businesses, the Hon Clayton Cosgrove, up to the Johnsonville Mall to meet and talk to some of the owners, managers, staff and customers of small businesses based there. Johnsonville is one of the most significant parts of the electorate of Ohariu, where Charles is standing as the Labour candidate in the 2008 general election.

Charles and Clayton took the opportunity while in the Mall to remind people that on 1 October, a number of important initiatives come on stream. These include a reduction in personal tax rates, an increase in superannuation entitlements, free off-peak travel for all SuperGold Card holders, and an increase in the hearing aid subsidy to $500.

The two politicians also voted in the Muffin Break's "Coffee Bean Poll", and are pictured just after doing so.
