Antique Virgin Mary Religious Medal French Visitation Of Our Lady Of La Salette\r\rThis is a beautiful antique French religious medal.\r\rThe front depicts the visitation of Our Lady to two shepherd children - Maximin Giraud and M\u00e9lanie Calvat on a mountaintop near La Salette, France, on September 19, 1846 around 3.00 p.m. during their cow herding. They were eleven and fourteen years old at the time and had received only a very limited education.\r\rThe reverse features the Sanctuary of Notre Dame De La Salette.\r\rMeasures 1 1/2 inches tall with out the loop and 1 1/4 inches wide., catholic medal
