hollywood prop, Antique Calvary Spurs made by August Beurmann 1900's Marked US AB

In stock

This is a pair of U.S. Cavalry spurs. The spurs are from the early 1900's, possibly WWI era. The spurs are marked "U.S. A.B." and was made by August Buermann. August Buermann was born in Sattenhausen, Germany Aug. 04, 1842. He apprenticed as a locksmith in Germany and he arrived in New York Aug. 1864. A few weeks later he went into the Army as a substitute for someone who came into the locksmithing company where he was working, looking for a volunteer. August Buermann Mfg. Co. began making spurs for both the civilian and military markets. The spurs features leather bindings, but they will probably need replaced if you are going to use them as there is damage on at least one of them. The buckles are still there. I personally would leave them like they are if you are a collector as they are original to the spurs. The measure approx. 5 inches long and 3 1/4 inches across the bended area. If you have any more questions please ask before you purchase. I ship to the USA. No International Shipping. I also insure all of my packages to make sure that they arrive to you safely. Thanks for looking., tv prop
